Brunschwig & Fils in Paris
The design scene is changing rapidly in Paris. This past summer, the Brunschwig & Fils showroom was entirely renovated to accommodate additional products from Kravet, Lee Jofa, Mulberry, Threads and GP & J Baker.
Traditionally there are two design districts in Paris. One, in the Rue du Mail, is located in one of the oldest areas of Paris, with a long standing tradition for textile trade. The other is located on the left bank near St. Germain in a very chic and bohemian area.
The Brunschwig & Fils showroom, located at 8 Rue du Mail in a former chemist shop, has very high ceilings, a beautiful conservatory, and is certainly one of the most attractive spaces in the area.
C’est la mode!
“That’s the fashion”
(French) [sa-lä-mod]
Conforming to the current style; stylish.
From January 19-23, Paris Deco Off, a fairly new and extremely successful exhibition, will take place. Each participating textile showroom welcomes visitors over five days to show new collections, presented through a window display theme given to all participants. Last year we dressed a bicycle, which led to very creative – if slightly unpractical – displays. This year’s theme hasn’t been revealed yet but we are all hoping it will be equally entertaining.
We are looking forward to welcoming many American visitors in the months ahead and showing them our amazing new showroom. For more on Brunschwig & Fils, visit www.brunschwig.com.
