Social Marketing
Social media are reshaping the marketplace. In the day to day communications that take place between businesses, consumers and other businesses, social media networks such as facebook and Twitter have made interactions not only more frequent but also more personal.
Marketing is about making connections, and while nothing is more personal than a face or a voice, social media allow people to share their business ideas, interests and projects with more personality than is possible in an email.
Kravet’s new facebook page has become an invaluable tool for sharing news quickly, building and deepening business relationships, and gathering feedback from customers about their interests and what they’d like to see on our page. Kravet’s facebook page is a personalized place for customers to go when they are looking for information about new collections, upcoming events and industry trends.
Kravet has also begun micro-blogging on Twitter.com, a site that publishes brief updates. We started communicating on Twitter with the goal of driving traffic to our blog site, INSPIRED.talk. Since then, it transformed into a Kravet FYI platform. We have also joined a Twibe (online group or tribe) called ‘interiordesign.’ Our Twitter community is building organically, and we are confident that it will continue to do so. Our updates include new blog posts, exciting product news, events, sales and promos. Follow Kravet on Twitter! Kravet is a ‘trade only’ business that serves the needs of today’s interior designer. As social media networks like facebook have become popular, it makes sense that business-to-consumer operations would attempt to leverage these networks to reach their customers. It has been a pleasant surprise to see first hand how useful such networks can be for business-to-business operations like Kravet. The interior design industry is getting connected. Join us!
